Luke’s Balancing Training

In This week’s blog post Luke’s balancing training continues as he passes all of his balancing knowledge on to our new engineering apprentice Layton.

Here we have Luke teaching Layton how to correctly set up and dynamically balance a rotor on our CEMB Hofmann UK Ltd Z750 dynamic balancing machine. Layton learned how important it is to accurately measure the critical dimensions in order to program the machine before running the balancing cycle. He also learned about the correct health and safety protocols to use when working with rotating equipment.

His first week over and Layton has really enjoyed the different areas he has been working in. He did particularly well in our dynamic balancing department.

Layton assisted Luke to dynamically balance this rotor to G1.0 to ensure optimum running of the motor once fully overhauled & assembled with its new bearings.

Stay tuned for more blog posts on Luke’s balancing training!
